James Jenista a game designer posted up these concepts of his, Starcraft II melee map ideas he wants to create once the game is launched.

Route DW1 ^ (Map above)

This map's name comes from a road covering the main avenues that is punctuated by observatories. Note the natural expansions are unusual. The destructible rocks defend the expansion early, but mid-game onward an opponent has more and more options for attacking the natural. This map is intended for 1v1, 2v2 or FFA.

Zhydaris an RTS community manager for Blizzard Europe answered some detailed questions about the Zerg Baneling on the Battle.net forums.

Baneling Questions 1. Last we heard, Banelings have a detonate command that causes them to instantly explode and deal damage no matter where they are on the map. The command is available even while the Banelings are burrowed. When using the detonate command, do Banelings have to unburrow before they detonate, or do they detonate underground and deal damage …  More

Blizzard posted in the Battlenet forums, that the Mac version of StarCraft II will be released day 1, along with the PC version. In retrospect, it took a whole year for the original Starcraft Mac release.

Also the StarCraft II installation DVD will include both PC & Mac versions of the game. Further details on digital download possibilities will be released as we get closer to the ship date.
