Protoss vs Protoss Video

Pay attention to how smooth the units move thanks to the new pathing AI in SC2. And how the Zealots surround and hammer their PSI-blades with purpose ;\ Also note the new 3D portrait for the Pylon, my guess is they are going to have more unique portraits for all buildings.

Zerg vs Terran Video

Check out that new 'spinning' Zerg building at the 3 minute mark!
The Nydus network.

New Spinning Zerg building Nydus Network

Also I reported this a while back, but here is another look at Creep on Ramps in StarCraft 2:
StarCraft 2 Zerg Creep on Ramps

Another interesting thing to note is how strong the new Spine Crawlers(Updated Sunken Colony) seem to be. At this point in the video the Spine Crawler + drones are able to take out 10 Marines, and the Crawler still lives...

In the Protoss video: Probes and some buildings leave behind a black puff of smoke when they die/explode...
StarCraft 2 Protoss Mineral Line

If you can get past the repetitive music, SC2 is as sexy to watch as ever...

my zerg are looking mighty fine! These must be videos of FFA games, cause it seems to me I saw an enemy overlord at the beginning of that zerg video and it looked like the protoss guy was blowing up two different mains simultaneously.

Also, is it me, or did that zerg guy make like almost zero military that whole game. Very unzerglike! If only I wasn't so upset with blizzard right now over this blizzcon fiasco.

Yeah I suspect they were both SC newbies playing SC2, horrible building layout by both... double Ultralisk Caverns by the Zerg player! (unless they added extra upgrades on the Cavern that doesn't make sense)

Hey Lip,I was thinking the same thing about the caverns and the micro & macro is just so...not good? they're probably like what you said, becomes obvious without the scouting...

Zerg looks awesome...though I hope they do something about the hydras' spit visual,it looked like a modified version from War3 Lich's attack.I still prefer the old hydras' attack where green saliva splatters everywhere from their mouth when they attack.

The spinning Zerg building is obviously an advance building third from the first row of building selection somewhere at 2.02 though I cant really see the name, its a long one...Anyone care to look closer?

Yeah that spinning building is named Nydus Network, which if you ask me, doesn't sound very Zergish... seems more like an appropriate name for a Protoss building.

Maybe something like Nydus Diggler or something LOL!

Oh,did I miss something?Did the Nydus Worm got scraped out from SC2 or thats the building required to build Nydus Worms >< .I'm not that up to date lately.

The sound of that name really makes sound like a whole new Nydus Canal and with the hole as an entrance in the middle and the drilling. You know it does make it sound like the Nydus Worm's rectum,bleh...jk

sigh, never gonna get to play sc2, damn blizzcon tickets selling out during site crash...

it also seems taht the zerg are getting a lot of needed upgrades. Overlords with spawnable creep should allow them to be far more offensive with nydas/sunkens. Even pro players like jaedong can only seem to use nydas canals defensively, as it is impossible to nydas a pro players base (they see EVERYTHING)

Yeah for Zerg the Overlord + create creep + Nydus worm transport mechanic has me the most worried at the moment.

It seems like a tactic that can be easily stopped.... yet if it was pulled off, can be ultra devastating... just feels like it can swing too far in either direction for either player. I have no doubt however that Blizz will of course get it fined-tuned in the coming months.

with SCBW, it is impossible to nydas a non-zerg. Trust me, i try to build hatcheries in hiddle spots of enemies bases all the time. More often than not, a player will for some reason scout the place where im building a hatchery. With nydas being so high in tier, its very very difficult to nydas "rush" with your hatchery not getting spotted.

Of course when someone finds a hatchery inside their base, they freak out and devote their entire army to destroying it.

That being said, creep was an incredibly limiting factor for the zerg. Say you manage to get away from being rushed by 3 ppl, yet you only have 375 minerals and say 6 drones. you cant build a creep colony in the middle of no where (they can only be built on creep), so you can either try for an extractor, or build a hatchery in very dangerous territory before your last buildies are taken out.

for the past 8 years, i have constantly said that there needed to be additional buildings that could be created on non-creeped land. I saw a flicker of hope in WC3 with blight, and the items that can create an area of blight, allowing for tower rush tactics for races that can not build on regular land.

With the overlord being able to create creep, this allows the zerg a building rush mechanic yet again, and of course the nydas is one of the most deceptive abilities and currently is extremely hard to pull of against zerg players who actually have creep to build upon

I hated those guys that always prolonged games by hiding a Phylon or Extractor somewhere on the map instead of doing the honorable thing and saying GG n exit :p

Hehe that being said yea the original Nydus was one of those hardly used tactics in SC/BW

hiding an extractor instead of saying gg would imply a 1v1

most ppl do actually leave during that time, but what i was referring too was a team game (3v3, 2v2 possibly) in which case it would be possible to come back provided you had the supplies and workers... but still, its an off chance

and thinkin back, i think i actually do recall seeing 1 game on andromeda of a zerg vs Flash where the zerg built a hatch and got a nydas into the back of his base... i guess it is possible to pull it off even vs pros... but still improbable as the zerg still lost... lol

Awesome to see footage of the game.  But that Music.  Horrible.  I'd rather hear the crappy sound recorded via handicam microphone then that 30 second beat looped for 8 minutes.
