1) Question 1: Bnet 2.0 have a desktop version? ie: like Steam or will it be just web-based? - Tajj
Karune: Yes, also you will be able to access Bnet 2.0 from your mobile phones

2) What is the minimum screen resolution Starcraft 2 is supporting? - nkoplm
Karune: 640x480

3) Will audio & video recording be supported in some sort of replay system? Or will game commentators still need to rely on 3rd party tools? - zeox
Karune: There are plans for a commentators edition of Starcraft II, which will support these features

4) There has been a lot of concern, that ZvZ could become a roach micro contest as roaches do double damage to biological, are tier 1 and have high regeneration. Is this true? If not, how can one counter a roach rush in ZvZ? - random_user07
Karune: The dev team has been working on a concept for an anti-Roach Zerg unit, temporarily named Catalisk

5) How has island map matches been like so far in StarCraft II internal testing? Could you describe basic sample builds and/or tactics in island games? - jeraal
Karune: We are still testing from a small pool of land maps: Kulas Ravine, The Lost Temple, and Big Game Hunters 2.0

6) Does Muta stacking in StarCraft II have a size some sort of other limiting factor? - mark05
Karune: There is no limit, but look on the bright side; Templars can take out 100 Mutas with 1 Psi-Storm :)

7) Are any new units yet to be revealed? ie: Zerg heavy air unit? - Staff
Karune: The 'Catalisk' mentioned previously
Zerg Catalisk

8] What types of features will map makers be able to use in regards to the in game cinematics? Will they be able to make cuts? Switch out audio tracks? Other? - DAskunk
Karune: Final Cut Pro

9) Will you be able to detect when passive or auto-cast abilities go off using triggers? - DAskunk
Karune: Yes and No

10) Did you guys ever create an in game model for the Omegalisk? If so will it be usable in custom maps? - Staff
Karune: Hint - you might see the Omegalisk in the single-player campaign ;\

11) How big is the internal StarCraft II testing team? Are there dedicated full-time testers? - Staff
Karune: It's just me and Dustin, and a couple of my friends doing the testing, which is why we are all looking forward to the Beta

12) What is the role of the E-sports team? Is Blizzard looking to support the game via an official Blizzard league? Or will that be left to 3rd parties like fansites / game sites to establish? - Staff
Karune: The E-sports team's activity is shrouded in mystery, only members of the E-sports are allowed in their room, so I cannot answer this question

13) We've seen unit and mineral counts as over-head graphics in game during the first SC2 battle-report. Are there more features we haven't seen yet in regards to spectating games? - Staff
Karune: There are plans for in game advertisments from sponsors

14)
Will it be possible to have multiple maps in a single map file? For instance, if I make a campaign in the map editor, with custom unit models/texture, and video cut scenes, and multiple levels, could that be distributed in one file so it is cleaner and easier for the audience to use? - nkoplm
Karune: All custom maps will need to be sent to the Blizzard anti-cheat team to look over and approved before being distributed

15)
Where will the StarCraft II team take their vacation once the game is launched? -
Everyone
Karune: As much as the team would like to take a vacation, they will be moved over to work on the Zerg campaign as well as the unannounced project. I on the other hand will be going to Tahiti.

Karune

Sponsors will be an integral part of SC2, which will only be okay if it means that eSports will grow into the mainstream without losing the 'Love for the Game', so to speak. However, if that can be achieved through corporate money, than I won't mind seeing hydralisks to on top of a Pringles-banner ;\

Good set of questions and answers, cool news about the Catalisk as well

allso some stores (remeber all those abondoned stores in starcraft)
proably will put direct tv or dish network logos on the satillite dishes

I agree, it is possible to do it in a tasteful manner - and Blizzard are capable of pulling that off. Personally, I am convinced that the gaming-community would not at all mind to watch some non-obtrusive ads in order to keep the services free. For example, when GomTV recently launched their third season they required their viewers to purchase the full $50-premium package in order to watch the VODs instantly. Otherwise, there were to be a three day-delay before the files came available for public viewing.

However, less than 24 hours later and after a thousand outraged comments, they reverted this policy, and all the VODs are now available instantly and for free. Granted, the quality is quite crap unless you buy the premium account, but that is acceptable. Still, if you watch the stream live you have no choice but to watch Korean commercials. Would it be that hard to get hold of some advertisers that are relevent to different demographics that watch the show from all around the world? If they did, they would make a lot of money, and I think we all could accept that if it gave us good games with high picture quality, yes?

Put the ads in, Blizzard, rather than aggrevating monthly subscription-fees. Give us Pringles-billboards-come-X'el-naga-relics on Lost Temple, I'm in!:D
