Maybe I should re-name this category battle.net forum morons?
Anyways so he proclaims that the graphics in SC2 suck... :/
blizzard has to make a new engine ....
i know they are using a new one but it looks like freaking war 3 :|
i think they should make a more realistic game from a graphical point of view, because the truth hurts...the graphics are not cool, they suck
it's not even near looking as a 2008-09 game
And i know that they want the game to be playable on low end systems but come on !! it's looking like blizzard wants the game to work primarily on low end ones
So if you want a new engine sign petition or something : WE WANT NEW GRAPHICS !!!

Really? ... I don't think so bud
And it isn't me just thinking the graphics in StarCraft 2 rocks this n00bs socks off.
Reactions from real fans that have actually gotten to play the game:
Guy thinks hes cool ragging on a game still in Alpha, a game in Alpha with graphics better then those in RTS games out now. The one thing whiners forget when complaining that SC2 is too colorful or bright is that its a game made for high level competition. Units need to stand out quickly, objects and buildings recognized instantly... As for graphics looking like WarCraft III, the last game Blizzard worked on was War 3, and War 3 is an excellent RTS. It then makes sense that some of the styling or artwork is inspired a bit from that art direction.
Games that have duller or more 'realistic' graphics such as (Warhammer / Company of Heros), or crazy lighting effects(C&C 3) will be lost in the dust once SC2 is released. Heck no one would even know what those games are if SC2 came out today.
Fun, entertaining and competitive gameplay is what is going to make StarCraft 2 a winner... combine that with awesome graphics(which is already has) and thats called domination. GG jackass

Karune also posted on the subject of graphics in StarCraft II:
I think you can expect changes. How much and how huge those changes are will be a matter of opinion.
The team has heard some feedback from the community that is concerned that the look of SC2 is too "colorful" and that more "realistic" color choices would be more in keeping with the original StarCraft. We saw a lot of these types of posts early on after we made the announcement.
I just spoke to Sam Didier (our Art Director) about this issue and he tells me that in order to make the units read well we have added A LOT of team color which really blows the units out and makes them look super-colored especially with the brighter colors (red, blue). The art team plans to take one or more passes over all the units in the game to try to balance out team color so it still works for game play but looks less bright and more in keeping with the original StarCraft. Changes to the over-all look to the game are always an option and the team is always tuning and trying to balance out the look of the game.

while the rest of the blizzard crew is busy about balancing the game, some jerks randomly rant about the graphics..
