Yeah, I freaked out when I heard this. Ignore it, it's bs. Rob Pardo was just being more forward than the others at Blizzard. At blizzcon people asked Mike Morhaime (Co-Founder of Blizzard, pretty much the top-dog for SC2) about LAN and he said while regular old LAN will not be supported, there will be 'pseudo-LAN' in the game. Some sort of system where you log in and perhaps it connects to the internet periodically to confirm you're not using a pirated copy/hacking etc. Low-bandwidth, high-latency network play WILL be supported and is practically GUARANTEED to be in SC2, just not under the name 'LAN'. Absolute zero LAN support would kill SC2 before it even was born.
